Current Board Members
As Station Manager I am responsible for coordinating the running and development of the station and chairing its production board. We have big plans for the year ahead and I am excited to share them with you all!
As Assistant Station Manager, I work closely alongside the Station Manager and the rest of the board to ensure the smooth running of rhubarbTV and to ensure the best for all of our members. I want to make sure all our members get great opportunities and also have fun!
Every team needs an administrator and as Head of Operations I do just that. I will be responsible for taking minutes in board meetings, creating a regular newsletter for board members and other administrative work. Basically, I do all the fun stuff.
Factual Content is all about sharing your passions with the rest of the world. Whether it be politics or art, gaming or baking, my job is to help you create a show. Have an idea for a programme? Want to get involved with our current shows? Why not message me, and see what you can do at rhubarb TV. Our current shows include; the current affairs show ‘Head to Tozer’, the quiz show ‘Society Challenge’, and the magazine show ‘The Crumble’. All made by students for students.
My role within the Rhubarb board is to guide and help people interested in creating original content for Rhubard to distribute. I will also be working along the Head of Factual Content to discuss ideas for productions. If you have any ideas you would like to develop, please do not hesitate to contact me for a chat about turning your ideas into programs.
I am the role of head of news. This coming year, I plan to produce a news video once a week. This video, released onto our YouTube channel (rhubarbTV) will include both local news and national news. I feel it's important to get an understanding and awareness of the smaller scale news events that surround us locally, yet also keep up to date on larger national and international news stories that affect many more individuals. I will also have a live Twitter page in which 'breaking news' will be tweeted.
My role as head of post production for Rhubarb TV gives me the privilege of collaborating with the production team. My aims include; creating content that is of a high and exciting quality. I work to bring the visions of the production team to a reality and produce advertisements and show reels to further promote this brilliant society!
Every piece of content we produce needs a team of awesome people to film it and I am the one who organises those teams. I’m also the go to guy for anyone wanting to get their hands on our filming equipment. So if want to get in to filming content (factual or fiction) or if you want to learn more about our equipment and what we do at RhubarbTV or if you just want to chat about TV and film hit me up and let’s make it happen.
As Head of Broadcasting, I'm responsible for live-streaming all the cool events and shows RhubarbTV is involved with, ensuring high quality content is produced and enhancing the RhubarbTV website to ensure everyone can enjoy the content produced by the RhubarbTV team.
Reaching out to the local community and getting them involved in all things rhubarbTV with different outreach programmes, maintaining close links with NASTA, making sure everything outreach is well organised and advertised.
As Head of Training, I am responsible for making sure that everyone involved with RhubarbTV feels comfortable with the equipment that they are using, and to make sure that everyone feels briefed and comfortable in their role. I am also there to help people in their own personal development at the station and for general support!
I run this town.
As deputy Station Manager I help with the smooth running of the station, from finding locations for shoots, designing and publicising posters, editing videos and finding ways to boost video views on social media. I also ensure that we all bake a cake filled with rainbows and smiles, and that everyone eats it and is happy.
My main role in rhubarbTV involves maintaining an efficient flow of information across the Station. I'm also in charge of maintaining databases and other administrative bits and pieces. I have a subtle passion for Hob Nobs.
My main role within Rhubarb is not only to make sure that content is being made, but to take on people's ideas and help create original shows with them for Rhubarb to distribute. Any ideas you may have can be emailed to me at [email protected], from which we can arrange a meeting. I love to hear new ideas, so please don't hesitate to email me.
As Head of News I manage the news team, and oversee the production of the fortnightly newscast. I do this a) because rhubarbTV is chiller than a cucumber, and b) because I'm interested in media, news and current affairs. I'm also interested in music, film, food and cats, because they're cooler than you...
As Head of Production I am in charge of forming teams to create our shows. I also ensure that our teams have up-to-date knowledge on the equipment the station has. I am a television maniac, obsessed with anything from TV dramas to cheesy TOWIE so hit me up on any of your TV trivia!

I manage media news. I am a spectator of the world, an ephemeral traveller. I belong to the artistic side of the moon.
If you require help using equipment for filming or livestreaming an event, that's my remit. I enjoy coding first and travelling second.
As Head of Events I am in charge of organising all the Rhubarb socials and events from workshops and general meetings to Christmas do’s and the big social we have planned for early 2016 – be very excited – it will be awesome. I am also looking to plan more fun socials in 2016 including some off campus film related events! Any other fun event ideas are very welcome!
